Depth of Penetration
Quickstone™ Denim
Conventional
Chemical equilibrium of the dyebath in Quickstone™ Denim maximizes the attraction between the cellulosic fibers and the dye, leading to optimal ring dyed yarns with clean white centers. These computer simulated cross-sections show the Quickstone™ Denim with a thin ring dyeing (16-20% penetration) as opposed to the deeper ring (30-40 % penetration) in conventional dyeing. A thinner ring dyeing gives the following advantages:

Dye savings because of high color yield for a given shade.

Savings in washdown cycle time to match a given washdown standard.

Reduced dye wash-off in the indigo dyehouse and the laundry due to less dye usage and improved fixation of indigo
