CONSISTENCY OF RING-DYEING
Comparison of Virkler Quickstone™ Denim Indigo Dyeing to Conventional Indigo Dyeing of 100% Cotton Yarn.
The computerized mathematical dye bath model provides the correct chemical balance for a given set of dyeing parameters. The dyebath remains in equilibrium, producing a consistent ring dyeing, end-to-end, beam-to-beam, and day-to-day. This computer simulation of longitudinal and cross sectional view of indigo dyed yarn with and without the Quickstone™ Denim system. Notice that in Quickstone™ Denim, the cross-sections of dyed yarn taken at different points along the length of the yarn, show circular rings with even depth of penetration whereas in conventional dyeing, the rings are elliptical and the depth of penetration varies. Variation in the depth of penetration results in non-uniform washdown.
